Emergency Technologies ‘Prehospital Spinal Management Course’ was established 12 years ago for training Student Ambulance Officers of the Victorian Ambulance Service.
The Course
is conducted over 9 hours and covers the following theoretical and
practical topics:
Lecturing is conducted by Anthony Hann who is a full-time Mobile Intensive Care Officer with the Victorian Ambulance Service. For the last 20 years, Anthony has been involved in the research and development of new spinal standards and training programs, now adopted by the Victorian Ambulance Service. He has lectured for over 10 years at Monash University teaching Spinal Management & Vehicle Extraction Techniques to Victoria’s new Student Ambulance Officers.
Cost of the 1 day course is $1500 (+ GST), allowing the organisation to place up to 15 persons on the course.
